Revit 2026 New Feature – Coreless Wall Structures

New in Autodesk Revit 2026 is the ability to have wall structure without a core layer. Before the 2026 release, all wall types had to have a core layer. You could have multiple layers, which you could delete and move, but at all times, the structure of the wall have to have at least 1 core layer.

With this new functionality, it is now possible to move and delete layers and have a structure, either temporary or permanent, which has no core layer.

This new feature will help improve control over how wall layers join, in the Autodesk Revit project, by making it possible to have all the layers on a single finish face.
