Between major annual releases, Autodesk also issues regular updated that often go unnoticed. Staying up to date and downloading the latest information helps ensure you work more efficiently with your Autodesk products.
Let’s look at how to keep your software up to date. I am going to show you how to get the latest updates by using Revit as an example. You can follow the same idea to update any of your current Autodesk software that you have a license for.
To do this, you can either go to your System tray or your Autodesk Account.

- Login to your Autodesk Account, go to Products and Service > Product Updates.
- Type Revit 2026 in the search bar – you can filter the search to the past 3 months.
- Check the check box for the lates version – in this instance Revit 2026.4, released Nov 11 2025.
- Select Download and give it a little time to download.
- Click on Open File from the popup top right of the screen.
- Click Yes in the next popup box, and then click Install. Keep in mind once the update begins, it cannot be cancelled.
- Once complete, click Finish.
