Users man encounter an error when attempting to log into Vault using Gateway; ‘Vault Gateway has Encountered an Error’.

As of May 2026, Autodesk are rolling out third-party logins to all Autodesk accounts. We’ve noticed a knock-on effect, causing all Autodesk accounts signed into Gateway to be signed out.
Thankfully, there is a simple solution. First, head to your Vault Server > Tools > Manage Vault Gateway. You may encounter a sign in error, or the status ‘Not Connected’.

To resolve this, select the Configure button. An error will appear, select OK.

Select Service Account, and you’ll be prompted to sign in. Enter your Autodesk Account hosting the gateway and give this some time to start.
