Recently, we’ve had reports of users across multiple versions of AutoCAD Electrical unable to access their products. On the splash screen, the program becomes stuck ‘Loading’.
The cause of this issue relates to Microsoft’s Office module hanging indefinitely, thankfully Autodesk have provided a fix.
Each hotfix requires different files to be replaced in your installation folder – you may require IT’s assistance depending on your permission.
First, download the matching hotfix file here – AutoCAD Electrical hangs on “Loading…” during the splash screen window. Before unzipping the contents, we need to head into properties, unblocking the file (failing to complete this will mean the software cannot access these files).
Depending on your version, you’ll need to replace the files below into the destination listed.
2024:
AceDriverTest.exe
AcePmComServer21.exe
AceLoader.dll
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2024\Acade\
2025:
AceDriverTest.exe
AcePmComServer22.exe
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2025\Acade\
2026:
AceDriverTest.exe
AcePmComServer23.exe
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2025\Acade\
2027:
AceDataStore.dll
AceDataStoreMgdRev.dll
AceDriverTest.exe
AcePmComServer24.exe
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2027\Acade\
Once completed, restart your machine and launch AutoCAD Electrical – you should now have access.
