Autodesk have found a critical vulnerability within their installer (Autodesk Access). They have released a hotfix to mitigate the vulnerability. To ensure you’re on the correct version, follow the below steps.
We would recommend if you have installed/updated any products after April 2023 that you check the current installed version of Autodesk Access/Autodesk Desktop App
We also recommend running a critical anti-virus scan on your machine using your anti-virus software.
Checking Installer Version
You can check what version your Autodesk Access is running by following the below steps.
You can find this in your toolbar.
Click the ? symbol.
Then click ‘About’.
If you’re running version *1.29.0.90* or later, you will need to download the hotfix from here and run as administrator – https://www.autodesk.com/trust/security-advisories/adsk-sa-2023-0010
The mitigated version is *1.39.0.216* which is available in the above link.
