Changing the Iso view in Autodesk Inventor is actually very simple. Let’s have a look at how to do this:
- Open a standard mm part and model something simple like my example, start your sketch on the XY Plane.

- Right-click on the home button on the View Cube (top right of your screen) and select Options.

- Take some time to go through the settings. You can change the Default View Cube Orientation for the Front View Plane and the Top View Plane.

- Once you are happy with your changes, close the dialog box. If you want to revert to the default settings, select Restore Defaults.
How to Change the Default Settings for the Iso View
- Orbit the view of your part to the desired orientation.

- Right-click on the home button on the View Cube, and select Set Current View as Home, then Fit to View.

- Orbit the part, then select the home button, and your new set view will be the new default.
This does not alter the original WorkPlane used for your sketch; it only sets a new default Iso view, which the home button on the View Cube will return to.
