Vault’s latest update has brought many new features, however with that comes some new errors. In previous patches, attempting to move or rename a file would fail with ‘An error occurred while attempting to retrieve a file’. This was resolved in the latest update as of now (2026.2).
However, the issue is present in 2026.2, this time whilst attempting Copy Design. You may encounter the following message instead; ‘One or more errors occurred. (1013)’. This occurs when the Copy Design dialog is ‘open’ but not accessible – please close the dialog first.

Why does this occur? Well, when you attempt a Copy Design, Vault gathers all the relationships between the selected files. The problem presents itself when the file has a DWF associated that sits under the Trash Bin.
Typically, most users won’t see DWF files as they can clutter up views, therefore are hidden by default. When looking in the trash bin, this in turn will appear empty, even though DWF files are sitting within.
Trash Bin without DWF visibility:

Trash Bin with DWFs visibility:

To enable visibility of DWFs, head to Tools > Options > Enable ‘Show hidden files’.

Now if we head into the trash bin, you should notice one or more DWFs associated to the files you’re attempting to copy. Either delete these specific files or empty the entire trash bin.
Note, unlike in the previous case, disabling the trash bin does not help resolve the issue but does prevent this from re-occurring.
Once the DWF has been deleted, Vault is now able to Copy Design again.
