Have you ever been away from your desktop and needed quick access to one of your designs? Whether onsite or just away from your workstation, this can be done. The ability to access your design data on nearly any device is a massively underrated benefit of using a cloud-cased CAD product. Autodesk Fusion enables access to designs anywhere you have an internet connection and access to your Autodesk account.
Desktop
The most common way of engaging with Fusion for designers is, and mostly will be, through the desktop program itself. This is where all the design, simulation, documentation and management is performed.
Accessing the Desktop Version
If you already have a license of Fusion, the installer link can be found by signing into your Autodesk Management Portal: https://manage.autodesk.com. Otherwise, a trial license license and installer are accessible through this link: Trial Intake |Autodesk Fusion | Autodesk.

Web
For all non-CAD users who need access to design documentation, or CAD users who need access on the move, the web version of Fusion allows access to the cloud storage hub. This uses the same folder structure for navigation, and enabling preview access to models, drawings and any other documentation stored within the hub. This also enabled design management for users engaged in design review and approval.
Accessing the Web Version
Access to the web version can be found by entering https://<HubName>.autodesk360.com/ into any web browser, where <HubName> is a unique Hub Name generated by Autodesk for each Fusion Hub.
If you are unsure of your Hub Name, you can sign in with your Autodesk account here: https://login.autodesk360.com/login/.
Access can also be gained through the Fusion Desktop app itself. There are many locations where you can ‘Open’ or ‘View’ on the web, namely File Menu > View Details on Web when a file is open.

Mobile
Using the mobile app brings your designs and documentation with you anywhere you go. For quick visibility of files, either on the shop floor, onsite, or on the other side of the office. This is great for quick dimensions, or visualising something whilst out and about.
Accessing the Mobile Version
Fusion has both an Android and iOS app available which can be found in the respective app stores. An Autodesk account is required for signing in. The account used requires at least viewing privileges against the files, folders or projects in Fusion.
