Autodesk Fusion Operations Machine Maintenance

Machine maintenance is important when keeping production reliable and efficient. If this is not taken into consideration when viewing scheduling reports, it can skew the results. If maintenance isn’t scheduled, this can lead to delays further down the line.

Maintenance Order

Maintenance Orders are created in a dedicated section of the Administration interface. Creating one requires allocation of either a Machine or Machine Component, Code, Priority, Due Date and Worker or Work Group. Other inputs are also supported, such as Checklist, estimated Duration and whether the maintenance is preventative or corrective.

Once the Maintenance Order has been created, it can then be actioned in either the Administration or Shopfloor interface. During the input phase, the required Checklist and Materials consumptions can be recorded. If the maintenance is delayed due to external factors such as waiting for a technician or parts, this can also be recorded.

The input of this looks slightly different depending on whether it is being done through the Administration portal or the shopfloor.

Once closed, maintenance orders can be viewed within their dedicated section. A report is also possible against them, which can be viewed in PDF or Excel.

Machine Parts

During the maintenance of machines, there may be a need to use or order replacement parts and components. These can be set up against each machine, and their consumption documented as part of the maintenance order.

Each component of a machine can also have dedicated maintenance orders and spare parts/materials. Components are set up independently of the machines and can be added to the machines through the administration interface.

Recurring Orders

It a maintenance order is Preventative, this often needs to be scheduled. Rather than creating multiple instances of the same maintenance, these can be created in a recurring order. Whether this needs to take place every few days, weeks or months. This will require a Start Date, Frequency and Template Maintenance Order.
