Civil 3D Fundamentals

Course Description

This Civil 3D training course is designed for Civil Engineers, Architects and Surveyors who want to take advantage of the interactive, dynamic design functionality of AutoCAD Civil 3D. AutoCAD Civil 3D software enables the rapid development of alternatives through its model-based design tools. The course will teach you how to organise project date, work with points, create and analyse surfaces, model road corridors, perform grading and volume calculation tasks and layout pipe networks. This is a general course that covers most aspects of the software including land development, site road design and a basic drainage network.

Civil 3D Fundamentals: Junction Design

Course Description

This Civil 3D training course is designed for Civil Engineers who want to take advantage of the Corridor Modelling and Road Junction generation tools inside of Civil 3D. Autodesk Civil 3D design software is the ideal tool for civil engineers to design and model complex infrastructure projects in a familiar and intuitive AutoCAD environment. The course will teach you how to model road junctions, such as T-junctions, roundabouts and slip roads, and tie your new road into an existing road. This course covers the more detailed aspects of the software for the Road Engineer.

Civil 3D Fundamentals: Road Engineering

Course Description

This Civil 3D training course is designed for Civil Engineers who want to take advantage of the interactive, dynamic design functionality inside of Civil 3D. Autodesk Civil 3D design software is the ideal tool for civil engineers to design and model complex infrastructure projects in a familiar and intuitive AutoCAD environment. The course will teach you how to organise project data, model road with superelevation and transitional geometry, create and analyse surfaces, and analyse and edit corridor models. This course covers the more detailed aspects of the software for Road Engineers.

Course Description

This Civil 3D training course is designed for Civil Engineers, Architects and Hydrology Engineers who want to take advantage of the interactive, dynamic design functionality inside of Civil 3D. Autodesk Civil 3D design software is the ideal tool for civil engineers to design and model complex infrastructure projects in a familiar an intuitive AutoCAD environment. The course will teach you how to organise project data, work with points, create and analyse surfaces and perform grading and volume calculation tasks. This course covers the more detailed aspects of the software including land development, SuDS design and basic drainage network.

Civil 3D Fundamentals: Template Creation

Course Description

This Civil 3D training course is designed for experiences users of Civil 3D, CAD Managers and BIM Managers who need to make a company or project template for Civil 3D. AutoCAD Civil 3D is widely used amongst Civil Engineers working either on small civil engineering projects, or major projects that require to be compliant with BIM mandates. The course will teach you how to set up the drawing template settings, along with all the feature styles and settings. In addition, the creation of an assembly library can be included if required.

Coordinate Systems within AEC and Infrastructure

Course Description

This course is designed for all different level users of AutoCAD, Revit, InfraWorks, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Map 3D and Forma, who want to learn the core features and functionalities of collaborating with these different software solutions. This course covers the collaboration tools included in the Autodesk AEC Collection that allows you to share, manage and merge Revit data with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and InfraWorks. It includes an explanation of all the different coordinate systems in each software and how to handle them when it comes to combining the data in Navisworks or Forma. Included in the course is how to share a Civil 3D Surface with a Revit model, how to insert a Revit model into an InfraWorks model and how to combine all the models into Navisworks, fully coordinated.

Map 3D/Civil 3D: MasterMap Master Class

Course Description

This course is designed for anyone who needs to work with Geospatial data. The course is based on Ordnance Survey Data, but the principles taught can be used on any relevant data. In this course, delegates will learn the fundamentals of working with mapping and other geospatial data in the AutoCAD environment, using AutoCAD Map 3D or AutoCAD Civil 3D and Ordnance Survey MasterMap data. These principles can be used on any geospatial data from any source. You will learn how to manage legacy data, object data, raster data and vector data.

Autodesk Vehicle Tracking Essentials

Course Description

This course teaches you how to evaluate movement and develop access options for drive, turn and park scenarios using movement simulation of various vehicle types. In addition to tracking vehicles, you will learn how to layout car parks, including accessible parking, as well as how to create a roundabout to your region’s standards.
