Nima, BSi in association with Morta have finally released the guidance document for ISO 19650-6 outlining the core functionality and data expectations in aligning digital projects with the expectations of UK national guidance around Health and Safety information.

This suite of guidance should help individuals to gain a better understanding around the roles and responsibilities of various parties in an asset lifecycle aligning with legislation such as the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
BS-EN ISO 19650-6 also proves a key tool for managing the golden thread of information for higher-risk buildings as required by the Building Safety Act. The guidance has been authored in collaboration with members of the Technical Committee responsible for the content of ISO 19650-6 including Nick Nisbet. Its development has also been supported by the BIM4H&S group in providing additional context to the guidance.
This guidance provides a digital overlay addressing the Information Management approach including how assignment of digital data can utilise data schemas for classification and assignment of risk and mitigation processes. It also provides some useful diagrams illustrating how the standard has expanded from the original PAS 1192-6 as well as transitional information moving from this legacy specification.
Key diagrams expanding on elements such as the Information Cycle for Risk and Mitigation/Treatment processing is useful when addressing all aspects of an asset from initial creation through use, reuse and eventual disposal shown below as an example.

The Morta platform has an AI search functionality which allows you to ask questions of the guidance on the IMI Framework allowing you to find what you need quicker.
