Covid-19 Digital Enablement Plan

The current situation is unprecedented, with students at home from school and university and most of the population now working from home. These measures are clearly necessary to beat Covid-19 and we fully support them.

This may be an opportunity for us to re-think some of our educational and working practices. In the meantime we would like to try to support you to use your time as effectively as possible and have devised a Digital Enablement Plan which we hope will help you over the forthcoming weeks and months.

The plan has 3 components: Student Learning, a Webinar Series and Low Cost Online Training.

At Man and Machine we take pride in our ability to deliver world class training both in person, and remotely using technology. This is why all of our virtual training offerings are run live, and directly with an industry professional. Sessions are run with web cams and high quality multi way audio meaning that any delegate can stop to ask a question and collaborate with the wider group where necessary. Technology training, such as that for design software, leverages the ability to share screens between all delegates, once again meaning that the trainer is able to communicate and see the delegates screens when they are running through exercises or hands on practise. This is key to successful delivery and adoption of any training of course, but especially online training where you are not sat in the same room as the rest of the class. All that is required to successfully connect to our online training facilities is a supported web browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome – it is recommended that you have dual monitors in order to both be able to see your own screen at the same time as the presenters, this is especially important for in application courses. We appreciate that whilst virtual training may be the norm for us, it could be a new concept for our customers, so we welcome any queries or concerns that you may have at any time.
