7th October: Autodesk Price Changes
There will be a new Autodesk Pricelist released on the 7th September with a price increase of around 10% across all Autodesk products.
7th September: Buzzsaw Updates
As of the 7th October Autodesk will no longer be selling Buzzsaw to new customers but will maintain current subscriptions of Buzzsaw for current customers.
1st August: Manufacturing Automation Solution for new UK Customer.
Man and Machine is pleased to announce the completion of a new design and manufacturing automation solution for a UK-based client providing innovative ducting solutions to the construction market. Our cloud-based internet-enabled hosting platform combines multiple technologies from within the Man and Machine group, including CUSTOM X and OPENMIND to provide a highly flexible yet secure solution, enabling our client to rapidly create the 3D models parametrically through a web-form and to generate the G-code to drive the accelerated manufacture of the ducting parts and assemblies. This new solution reduces design time, de-risks the production process, protects the intellectual property of the client and reduces manufacturing time by at least 15%.”

29th February 2016: Annual TechCamp
Last week the team were in Munich with the rest of the Mench und Machine group for the annual TechCamp. Our Application Engineer, George Roberts won an award for ‘Top Application Engineer’ and is off to Las Vegas in November for Autodesk University.

1st June 2015: Perpetual License Changes
Autodesk is transitioning from perpetual software licenses to subscription-based options. After January 31, 2016, new seats of most individual Autodesk software products will be available only on a pay-as-you-go subscription basis. Sales of new perpetual licenses for these products will be discontinued. This change applies to both standalone and network licenses. You will, however, be able to continue using your existing perpetual licenses. 27th March 2015: Desktop Subscription offline usage
Autodesk has announced that the offline usage allowance for customers with Desktop Subscription is now 30 days. Until now, users had to connect to the Internet the first time they accessed their Desktop Subscription software, and every 14 days thereafter. This extended offline allowance requires that users connect every 30 days.
23rd March 2015: Autodesk Account is Now Live
Subscription Center has been retired, Autodesk Subscription customers are now directed to Autodesk Account where they will be able to manage all of their products, services, and Subscription benefits in one place. 23rd February 2015: Autodesk Subscription
On 13th March 2015, Autodesk will be closing Subscription Center and Autodesk Account will expand its functionality become our unique portal for all Autodesk Subscribers.
16th February 2015: EMEA Price adjustment
As of 1st May 2015, Autodesk will increase Suggested Retail Prices (SRP) by approximately 4% for all licenses, including Subscription New and Desktop Subscription. However there are two exclusions, AutoCAD LT Family and Maintenance Subscription Renewals.

6th August 2014:New Faces at Man and Machine
Man and Machine is growing rapidly and with that comes a lot of new recruits! The latest to join the team are Chris Downing and Geoff Bowles. Chris is an Application Engineer with specialist areas in Electrical and Plant – Chris has come from the Electrical industry and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area. Geoff is our latest recruit within the sales team and will be leading the North East activities as Business Development Manager. Geoff has led a career in the manufacturing industry leading a 300+ workforce in a manufacturing plant.
30th July 2014: New BIM Whitepaper
In the NBS National BIM survey recently, they claim that the adoption of BIM has increased from 11% in 2011 to 54% in 2014, a very significant increase which suggests BIM is here for the long term. Today we also are announcing the availability of our own white paper, a document that covers the history of BIM, Government and BIM, data exchange standards, object libraries as well as the impact of BIM on different industries and the business opportunities it presents to companies not only in design and construction but throughout the supply chain.

16th July 2014: Announcing the end of the Autodesk promotional upgrade program and new strategy for 2015
On 25th July, the Autodesk existing upgrade promotions program comes to a close. The program afforded customers the benefit of a 20% reduction in Standard Retail price (SRP).Although there is speculation that the program may continue, we believe that it will be reduced to 10% off SRP and therefore we would recommend that customers planning an upgrade move quickly and we would be delighted to provide you with a competitive quote.
Furthermore this is expected to be the last promotional offer made to customers to encourage them to upgrade and take out subscription services. In February 2015 Autodesk have announced that they will no longer offer upgraded programs on out-of-date software. Obviously this is not expected to affect customers on subscription who will continue to be able to take out cross-grades to eligible products.
1st July 2014: 2015 BIM Demystified Webinar
On 15th July, Man and Machine will be running a “BIM Demystified” webinar focusing on the current state of BIM with regard to standards and its adoption across UK markets. The content of the webinar will try to position how BIM impacts the supply chain and outline its core components including 3D graphical models, Common Data Environments (CDE) and Data Exchange standards. A significant amount of the session will also focus on using Revit to create BIM models and the generation of BIM models in Inventor that can be exported into Revit along with its COBie data.
25th June 2014: Impending Launch of first Revit-based BIM Laser Management Solution
Today Man and Machine announces the forthcoming introduction of Flexijet, a high performance BIM-based laser measuring system. As much as 70-90% of today’s building projects involve redevelopment of existing structures, that often have limited or no drawings at all. Flexijet provides a unique laser measuring system that integrates with AutoCAD and Revit to quickly help build an as-installed drawing, much more quickly than a traditional point-cloud solution.
